One Tribe Tattoo Designs

Please note that the following are all original One Tribe custom Filipino tattoo designs which were researched and created specifically for each of the individuals shown. Each design is deeply symbolic and signifies one's cultural background and personal life story. One Tribe asks to please respect their work, the art and the wearer of tattoo by not copying any of the designs on this gallery. Thank you.

  • The Chinese symbol was already on Brian's arm and One Tribe researched and designed the tribal piece surrounding it to represent his Visayan roots. His family were originally from Bohol but later moved to Manila where Brian was born and spent most of his childhood.

  • One Tribe designed a tattoo for Jordan to represent his Luzon and Visayan roots.
    Jordan contacted One Tribe as he wanted a tattoo to represent his Luzon and Visayan roots. One Tribe designed a piece incorporating traditional motifs from both island groups. Rays of the Philippine sun on his shoulder were also incorporated to show his Pinoy pride!(Tattooed by Aun)

    Mark is a proud Visayan and wanted a tattoo to signify his cultural background and religious beliefs. The image on the centre of his arm is the Ati-Atihan logo which Mark's dad designed for the "Ilongo Dinagyang Connection", an organisation which Mark's family are members of. One Tribe then designed the Philippine sun and tribal piece around it inspired by the extinct "Pintados" tattoo, and also included his surname in Baybayin (an ancient Filipino script).     Michael is the author of the book "Purged By Darkness". The Philippine sun and the neo-tribal pattern were already there and One Tribe added his contemporary "bikking" (chest tattoo) design which represents his Ilocano roots.   • Dave's tattoo is a symbol of his warrior spirit which also represents his roots from the western Luzon provinces of the Ilocos region through to Pangasinan and Zambales.
    Dave is a Fil-American who resides in Melbourne, Australia and is practising the traditional Filipino martial arts known as Arnis, Kali and Escrima. His tattoo is a symbol of his warrior spirit which also represents his roots from the western Luzon provinces of the Ilocos region through to Pangasinan and Zambales.   • Henry a musician from Las Vegas, U.S.A. is wearing a full-sleeve tattoo which represents his roots and his large family.
    Henry a musician from Las Vegas, U.S.A. is wearing a full-sleeve tattoo which represents his roots and his large family. Henry was born and raised in Benguet but his ancestors came from the vast lands of Northern Luzon – Tarlac, Pangasinan and La Union. While touring in Australia, Henry took the opportunity to be tattooed by traditional hand-tattoo artist Marc Pinto. Three straight days on the chair and a total of 22 hours being inked, and the outcome was amazing! (Tattooed by Marc)

    Joni is a professional dancer and currently resides in Greece. She was born in the Philippines and moved to Greece at a young age with her mother. She wanted a tattoo to remind her of her roots which traces back to the northern provinces of Nueva Viscaya and Ilocos Sur. Joni is an independent young woman and requested her tattoo to also symbolise intelligence, beauty and strength – just like the traditional tattoos of her ancestors from northern Philippines.     Dennis was born in Canada and now resides in New York, USA. His design is inspired by the tattoo traditions of the Ilocanos, Visayans and Manobo tribespeople of Mindanao.
